Alright ladies let’s be real. No matter how much Fenty Beauty we pack on our faces, there’s always a time we feel a little less sexy or may lack a bit of confidence. Here are a few things I do to keep myself feeling sexy and assured.
Take a spa day
I absolutely love going to the spa. It’s always a chance for me to unwind without children and a man around to destroy some part of my peace. The warm sauna, relaxing massages and warm, soothing pools seem to always do a thing or two for my libido. I don’t know, I just somehow feel rejuvenated after spending a few hours alone. Not to mention, self-care days are always a good thing.
Get your hair and nails done regularly
If you look good, you feel good…. right? Some say that feeling sexy is mostly due to your level of self-esteem. Although this may be true, in part, I still find it hard to feel my absolute sexiest without being well groomed. I mean seriously, chipped nail polish, cracked acrylic and a greasy wig just doesn’t make the cut for me.
Drink wine and light candles
Ahhhhh the answer to all my problems… WINE! I don’t know if it’s the soothing feeling it gives or the sweet & soft taste of it, but it puts me exactly where I want to be. I love ending my nights, if even a few times a week, with a nice glass of white wine paired with a few candles, and maybe even some cheese (I LOVE CHEESE!). This puts me in my sexy zone.
Post a nice pic
Now, as much as I don’t condone allowing social media to determine how you feel about yourself, I do think that it can serve as a quick pick-me-up when you feel a little less attractive or lack confidence. Post a nice pic or go through the comments of a previous picture you’ve posted and enjoy the boost of confidence it gives you! Again, never allow social media, or the opinion of anyone determine how you feel about yourself overall. But I do think that it’s ok to use the judgement of others for your benefit, if need be. I can remember a few times when I literally did my hair and put on makeup, just to post a picture for some nice feedback. Obviously, those were times when I needed to hear some kind words, and it worked for me!
Exercise
Exercising used to be my least favorite thing to do. But I can’t lie; I’m learning to love it. I usually have to fight myself to get up and get moving; because let’s face it, it takes a WHOLE lot of discipline to exercise regularly. But after I complete a routine, I feel a huge sense of accomplishment. That alone does wonders for my confidence. Does anyone else feel this way after working out? Oh, and let’s not forget the most important benefit of a good exercise… GETTING IN SHAPE! Like seriously, if we were in the exact shape we wanted to be in, our confidence and feelings of sexiness would be through the roof!!!
Remember the good about yourself
That’s right, remember who you are! Think about your goals, your accomplishments and everything you have going for yourself! I bet you’re a lot more bad-ass than you’d like to believe😎 . So don’t dwell on how you’re feeling at the moment, instead, focus on your greatness. It helps the gray cloud over my head pass once I start changing the way I think about myself!
So, what are your thoughts? Do you think any of my methods would help boost your esteem? What do you do to feel better about yourself? Talk to me!!!
