As a Father, you probably don’t get the credit you deserve. And as a mother, I know firsthand how we’re thought to be the superior of the parenting pair. How we’re normally put on a pedestal for being the ones who sacrifice and cater most to our children on a daily basis. But what about those Fathers who do too? What about the Fathers who relentlessly but unnoticeably tend to their children just the same?
The thing about being a Father is, you have an unequivocal relationship with your children. In their eyes, you’re seen as the provider, the leader and the protector. You’re a force, you’re strong and you have a presence that a mother can NEVER possess. Your position is so grand and so important, that only a true FATHER can fulfill it. No words can express how much you mean to your families.
I get a bit tired of the narrative that tends to break men down (especially Black men) when it comes to their children. I for one, know quite a few Fathers who have effortlessly fulfilled their roles. And today, I want them (and every other great father) to know how thankful we are 💙. So let me take a moment to show some appreciation to a few DOPE dads I know…

Thanking and appreciating him everyday for what he does for our girls! An amazing provider, protector and leader for our household. Being a father of young women, especially when three of them are teenagers, is tough. But you’ve been relentless in proving just how much you love them. If there’s anything we were sure of, it’s that you got us! We love you! 💙💙
The fun, lively Dad with Many children (my Dad) 😂😂
A man who’s been there for me in whatever capacity he was able to. The kind of guy that’s sure to make you laugh anytime you’re around him. Even as an adult, I talk to him everyday and laugh just the same. I’ve always felt safe and encouraged because of his guidance, and I can’t remember a time he wasn’t there when I needed him to be. I love you dad! 💙
The Super Supportive Dad…

The Dad who makes fathering fashionable 🧥. But also the kind of father who, not only shows how connected he his with his child through clothes, but one that knows that quality time means more than anything 💙.

I can talk about how great of a father you are to your sons, but it’s something about the way you stepped up as a step-father that makes your position as a dad so much more special. Your ability to care for and love a child who isn’t biologically yours takes courage, patience and a huge heart. But that just goes to show the type of person you are.
