Wow! Seven years already?! 🥹 Honestly, that doesn’t even seem possible.
Seven years ago today, I nervously clicked “Publish” on my very first blog post, When Motherhood Becomes Too Much. I wasn’t thinking about page views, Pinterest, or SEO. I simply wanted a place to write. Looking back now, I realize I wasn’t just starting a blog—I was building a home. A place where we could laugh together, learn together, make memories together, and simply do life together.
Behind the scenes, there were so many things no one ever saw: the hesitation to post my thoughts, the countless late nights spent writing after everyone else had gone to bed, the hours I poured into planning articles, taking photos, editing, learning, second-guessing myself, or wondering if anyone would ever read my blog or care.
No one knew the fear that came with putting myself out there or the little voice that whispered, “Maybe you’re wasting your time”.
There were seasons when life got busy, when consistency was hard, and when I wondered if I should just let this dream go. But somehow… I never could.
Over the years, this blog has become a scrapbook of my world. You’ve watched my children grow, followed along on family adventures, pulled up a chair for restaurants reviews, laughed through my parenting mishaps, read my unsolicited advice, tried recipes from my kitchen (very brave of you 😂), traveled with me, and encouraged me more times than you’ll ever know.
Thank you for taking the time to read my stories and allowing me to share a little piece of my life with you. Whether you’ve been here since that very first post or you just found Life As Lexi yesterday, I want you to know how grateful I am that you’re here.
Here’s to more adventures, laughter, family memories and whatever God has planned for Life As Lexi next. I enjoy learning alongside you. I’m just a mom trying to figure it all out and share my experiences along the way.
