Welcome to Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl and Grill! Underwater bowling?! Yes, please!

Ok, so not literally underwater (although that would be amazing too), but this Bridgeport, Ct bowling alley gives you all the thrills of being immersed in the ocean, while playing one your favorite sports. We took a 90 min ride to get here. One, because we just love to bowl, and two, it wasn’t enough for me to simply know this existed; I needed to come here for myself, and I’m glad I did.

Food & Venue

The aesthetics of this alley are way too cute! Perfect for anyone who loves sea life, the outdoors or just likes to experience some fun scenery. It serves as an attention grabber for any toddler, a cool photo opp for your teens and a hang out spot for us parents. Oh, and there’s also a full bar and kitchen menu including your typical American dishes, some seafood and alcoholic beverages ( Can we say, YAY?!😏).

There’s nothing bad to say about the cleanliness here. I’m not too sure if that’s because we were literally one of the first ones through the door at opening, or if they’re really as sanitary as they seem, but it was spotless. I almost forgot I had to use my Clorox wipes…. almost.

The food was ok. Exactly the taste you would expect considering the menu items. We ate pretty lightly, ordering the Calamari and Chicken tender baskets. I had the “Fish Bowl” drink (which I loved! ask for less ice and an extra shot 😉), and the girls had lemonade.

General Info.

Parking. There’s plenty. No worries.

Pricing: For me, the pricing for the lanes were a bit steep, as compared to other alleys. Lane rentals go by 30 minute slots, and are priced as follows: Weekdays (Mon. – Thurs.) $32/hr or $16/ half hr. Weekends (Fri. – Sun.) $37/hr or 18.50/half hour. Shoe rentals are $4.25 and socks are $3.50.

• There’s is a nice sized arcade for your entertainment, but we didn’t play any games (probably because I just spent an entire day at an arcade this week already 🙄), so there’s not much I can tell you as far as game pricing, etc. Sorry!

Get there early! We stood at the door right before they opened, and within minutes there was a full line behind us!

• There are only 12 lanes, and no dividers between them. So unless you’re eating, try to keep your masks on. You’ll be pretty close to the people at the lane next to you.

• There are various locations! See which one is closest to you, and go!
